International Invasive Lobular Breast Cancer Virtual Symposium

The International Invasive Lobular Breast Cancer (ILC) Virtual Symposium will be held virtually on June 24th-25th, 2021, with special patient-advocate focused sessions June 23rd and June 30th.

These patient-advocate focused sessions will be offered by experts in lobular breast cancer and are appropriate to an audience of patients, advocates and their supporters who are interested in advocacy and want to learn more about ILC and the latest research presented at the ILC Symposium.  Note that the content presented at the scientific symposium sessions held on June 24 and 25th will be appropriate for scientists, researchers and medical professionals.

The Symposium will include sessions focused on ILC biology, challenges in ILC diagnosis and treatment, new avenues of ILC research, and a discussion of opportunities for researchers, clinicians and advocates to work together to advance ILC research. The featured keynote address is “Features of Lobular Breast Cancer: Opportunities for Individualizing Therapy,” presented by Christine Desmedt, PhD, (Katholieke Universiteit, Leuven Molecular). Sessions tailored specifically to patient advocates will cover basic information on ILC and discuss highlights of the symposium.

Registration is free and open to physicians, researchers, patient advocates and organizations interested in learning about ILC and the most current research to better understand this disease.
